Lemon for Dusting

Lemon juice and lemon oil are the perfect choices for dusting, and for a number of reasons. As aromatherapy, the pure essential oil of lemon is uplifting and refreshing. Who doesn’t need help like that when one is cleaning? As a wood cleaner, pure lemon oil is lubricating and antiseptic, a perfect combo to get everything really clean without drying out the wood. Freshly squeezed lemon juice is an acid that neutralizes alkaline odors and is remarkable for pulling out dirt and killing dust mites.

Light and Lemony Duster
1/2 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
a few drops of pure, food grade lemon oil (as opposed to an essential oil)
a few drops of olive oil
a soft cotton rag

Combine the oils, dip a soft, recycled cotton cloth into the oil, and use it for dusting.

Make Your Own Aromatherapy Variation
1/2 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
10 drops pure essential oil of lemon
a few drops of jojoba or olive oil
soft cotton rag
