When it is hot and humid our bed linens can get sticky and need freshening. I love to do this with lavender water, although you can use other essential oils that appeal to you. As aromatherapy lavender is known to be balancing and calming, perfect for the bedroom.
Hand sprinkle or place in an old-fashioned ironing sprinkler bottle or clean spray bottle. You’ll want to sprinkle the mixture lightly on on sheets, towels, blankets, and other linens to freshen. If you iron your linens, sprinkle before ironing.
Ingredients
1 teaspoon (100 drops) lavender essential oil
1 oz. 80+ proof vodka
2 cups distilled water
Combine ingredients in a glass jar, spray bottle, or ironing sprinkler. Cover and shake. Mix with distilled water.
Shake well before each use.
