Who: Rosemary Gladstar.
What She Does: Rosemary Gladstar has been a practicing herbalist for 30 years. She is the author of many books and has founded the California School of Herbal Studies, United Plant Savers, co-founded Sage Mountain Herbs, and is a founding member of the Northeast Herb Association. She is the co-director of the International Herb Symposium and The New England Women’s Herbal Conference.

A Sample Formula from Family Herbal: This stress-relief tea blend soothes both mind and ulcer.

3 parts oat
1 part licorice root
1 part marsh mallow
1 part purslane or chickweed

Combine all the ingredients. Make a tea using 2 teaspoons of the herb mixture per cup of water, and steeping for 30 to 40 minutes. Drink 2 to 3 cups daily.
